Learning To Love Your Inner Creature delves into the uncomfortable arena of self-loathing, specifically the process through which it can develop and how it can be dismantled. The video is a single-channel animation created as part of a larger interdisciplinary project including video installation, performance, photography, book design, drawing and painting. For the video she employed Shooting, Editing, Keying, Compositing, and Graphic Animation techniques, most of which for the first time. Suzanne completed the video as part of the Independent Studio Program and the Introduction to Video Art course at the Toronto School of Art in 2009/2010, in which I was her Advisor and Instructor respectively.
